In this episode, Steve and DJ dive into a packed week of home-theater talk and reviews. They kick it off with Apple TV+’s new mind-bender “Plur1bus,” debating its big philosophical swings and why it’s such addictive, water-cooler TV—plus how the playful Atmos design and gorgeous cinematography make it a must-watch in the theater. From there, Steve slices into Netflix’s “Last Samurai Standing,” praising the sharp visuals and nonstop, inventive swordplay while wishing for a beefier audio mix. DJ braves the cinema for “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” and shares why the overcooked acting and predictable reveals left him cold, even if the theatrical sound was solid—then cleanse the palate with a reminder of how much better the original “Now You See Me” still plays at home. Steve hits the big screen for “Sisu 2: Road to Revenge” and declares it a blood-soaked, 90-minute blast that ups the insanity (and will be demo-worthy at home), and celebrates the anniversaries of “GoldenEye” and “Predator 2” with spirited revisits that still deliver great fun and surprisingly strong mixes. The guys wrap up with housekeeping on next week’s Movember charity raffle drawing and holiday well-wishes to the community. Movie and series discussed (spoiler-light): Plur1bus (Apple TV+), Last Samurai Standing (Netflix), Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (theatrical), Now You See Me (4K/Atmos), Sisu 2: Road to Revenge (theatrical), GoldenEye (Blu-ray/4K), Predator 2 (4K).
